Good morning MASFAP and TGIF,
I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss the April 5, 2016 Dear Colleague Letter GEN-16-07: 2017-2018 Award Year: FAFSA Information to be Verified and Acceptable Documentation.
http://ifap.ed.gov/dpcletters/GEN1607.html
Pulling out the important part of paragraph one, “To reduce burden on institutions and families,…” caught my attention. Skimming further down to “Use of Documentation from the 2016-2017 Award Year”- “To further reduce burden…” also sounds so encouraging. What was your take on this?
Please make sure you read the details for yourself instead of going by my quick summary! It’s always a challenge to be working with multiple years. Is anybody else already having trouble keeping straight what’s needed when, who’s on first, etc.? But it sounds like we should be burden free soon, right??!
Thanks and have a great weekend MASFAP!
